The original panot is a piece of hydraulic cement, 20 x 20 cm, with a thickness of 4 cm and a weight of 1.5 kg.
Puig i Cadafalch designed it with a design made up of four circles that looked like flower petals, made in bas-relief on stone tiles. The later design that was generalized for the streets of Barcelona is formed by a central circumference from which four other truncated circumferences leave, with four axes of symmetry, a center of rotation of order 4, and closed grooves of about 85 cm .
This panot spread throughout Barcelona, thanks mainly to its economy and durability, and, over time, became the most characteristic of the city.
